Children's Ministry
Nursery
Care is provided to assist the many young growing families who attend our church with a loving Christian environment for their infants and toddlers up to age 2 during Sunday School and Worship Services. Nursery is available for all regularly scheduled services.
Sunday School and Children's Church
During both the Sunday School hour and Worship Service times there are classes for Toddlers (2-3 yr. olds), Beginners (4 yr. olds- Kindergarten) and Grades 1-2. Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6 have both a Sunday School hour and then come together during Church hour for Junior Church.
Sunday Evening Children’s Ministry
Ministers to families who attend Sunday evening services and whose children are too old for the nursery yet not ready to sit in the service (age 3 to 3rd grade). We aim to train up a child with God’s Word through Bible stories, crafts, games and other activities.
Pioneer Club
A ministry that begins at the age of 4 for both girls and boys. Beginning in 1st grade, boys start attending Christian Service Brigade and the girls remain in Pioneer Club. They learn how to put Christ into every phase of life by working on Bible and Activity Badges. Outreach is planned for service projects and fundraisers.
Summer camp is offered as a positive spiritual experience where they form close bonds with cabin mates, pray together, share testimonies and see girls accepting Christ into their hearts. Scholarships are provided to those who exemplify outstanding participation in the club. They meet each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. from September through May.
Christian Service Brigade
Their primary goal is to build up boys to serve Christ. God’s goal for a boy is to become a mature Christian man (Colossians 1:28) and, ultimately, a reproducer, a person who can lead others to Christ (II Timothy 2:2).
Two programs are offered. Tree Climbers provides a regular time for dads and substitute dads and their children to spend a profitable time together. They meet weekly for games, crafts, Bible verses and stories. Stockade provides opportunity for men to spend time mentoring boys, along with fun and games. Boys participate in activities that involve exciting growth experiences physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. These groups meet each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from September through May.
Vacation Bible School
A once a year summer ministry that reaches out to children from preschool to 6th grade in the surrounding community. Each year is a different experience and sure to delight all those who attend. The salvation message is presented to the children each night. Also, there is a focused mission’s project to inform the children about local and global missions and how they can help.
